this trip to jakarta has made me understand another fact of life:

in singapore, the so-called self-declared 'skillful drivers' are those who has the capability to burn $$$ by stepping on the accelerator pedal as hard as possible. whereas in indonesia, i feel that they have the most skillful drivers around, as they are able to drive in very very close proximity with one another. when i say close, they are REALLY CLOSE.. i estimate that each car/bike/lorry is only about 5cm away from one another, be it infront, behind, left or right! most amazingly is that they are able to travel in this manner without banging onto one another!

if the above ever happens in singapore, i can foresee another chain accident within 10 seconds..
