blackout!!

opps it happened again.... the 3rd massive blackout for this year, and the 2nd to hit me directly. the first one is in april where i was sleeping (instead of studying for my exams) and the lights and fan went off for everyone in the hall. after having that experience, i'm mentally prepared if such an incident is to happen again.

and really, it happened again. i was lying on the bed reading "old man and the sea" then suddenly the lights in my room go off. i thought is the MCB of my home tripped as it happened before. i look out of the windows and those blocks around my flats are all in pitch dark, but those a road away are brightly litted! damn! i go to another window and look in another direction and everywhere is pitch dark, except for the headlights of the cars. i'm pondering: dun tell me the cable at the CCK substation burned again?

without lights, i basically cannot do anything. walk to the bed, trying to sleep, walk to the window to look around, ... its really boring... i feel so lost. i cannot call out coz the network is jammed. haizzzz.... i can only wait...

and wait..

and wait.....

finally the power is resumed within 30mins! everyone is shouting in joy! and we (CCK) are one of the fastest to get back our power as the power to my colleague (staying in bt batok) took 2 hrs before resuming! phew!

or-bi-good! see lah! power grid dun wana higher me! if u hire me then i'll make sure such things dun happen de! too bad...
