i don't understand this logic: why are we happily putting our hard earned money into banks, earning that pathetic 0.25% interest per year, while the banks uses our money, in turn lend to us at 4.6% per year? thats almost 1800% returns!

gone were the days where interest is almost 10% per year. sometimes i just feel like keeping my money in biscuit tins instead..
