have u watched the ch8 show "creativity mine" sponsored by creative??
every week you will see mr sim and another 2 fellows, one of which is jack neo and other one is a dunno CEO or what from singtel being the judges for the various "creative ideas" that the contestants have to display. and if you are from NTU EEE, a deeper impression will that program be as memories from the E141 human resource management and entrepreneurship will flash back to you isn't it? it will be worst if that fatty (u know who he is if u take E141) is your tutor and he will bombard u with questions that you are almost impossible to answer, just like what the judges of the above program hamtam* the contestants, but of coz with a friendlier touch as the judges do not want to look that wicked in front of the whole of singapore. CEOs are suppose to be friendly and caring yah? for those who have not get the chance to go thru the trauma, basically for this module u need to think of an idea, fabricate the product that can be patented, which means that NO ONE ON THIS MOTHER EARTH HAS DONE IT BEFORE OR HAS PATENT THE IDEA YET. well.. this is not that bad but what is worst is that it has to be marketable (which is why the reason the patent is there for anyway). if that is not challenging enough dun worry, you have to prepare a business report with all the quotations from suppliers for your raw materials, rental, promotional costs, setup costs... and all these are to be REAL figures quoted from actual authorities.... well... probably only those who have gone thru this will understand what i mean...
will it be a good idea for the fatty to send some of the good projects for the show?
anyway back to the show, i'm supportive of it as it actually shows that singaporean have a creative and entrepreneur mindset, although not on a big scale. more could be done and maybe we have our next creative born...
*hamtam = whack = shoot
if u still cannot understand then probably your singlish is still not that solid yet.. go polish up abit by getting the talkingcock coxford dictionary at major bookstores at less than $$10!
