watched "Infernal Affairs" at bugis. hmmm a rather short show of abt 90-100 mins, typically of HK shows. story is about a gangster head who sent his men to the police force to become police officers so that the gangsters can get tip off of police raids. on the otherhand, the police plant their best trainee fr the police academy into the gangsters lair to wipe them out. the story continue...

this show is well paced. not much of those boring moments that can be "cut" w/o affecting the show. for those who expect gun fire all over the show will be disappointed as there are only 1 or 2 gunfire scenes. however, the story more worth while than juz watching the gunfire, which the director can simply add it to the movie w/o much effort. it is the story that is the cream of the show as it tries to bring out the agony of the undercover on both sides, as they are constantly in a delimma on wat is their real identity. he is a real policemen but is now a gangster in disguise...so is he a real gangster? he is a real gangster but he is now a policeman... so shld he help his boss? can he turn over a new leaf? it kinda reflect on the current world where we are in. many of us are unable to identify our real self. we are juz too used to wearing a mask in our lives that we may not know who we are. but can we remove our mask? wat will happen if we do that? maybe that is a question for us to ponder...

one point to mention is that there is impressive improvements in the acting of andy lau...not as stale of before.... =)

finally, its a show worth watching...

below is another paranoma i took of our famous "durian" - the esplanade
