one way to avoid confrontation is to give in.. and i gladly do all the necessary changes as commented so that i will "appear" to be obedient and having the willingness to learn..

we like people who listen and follow what we say, don't we?

also, whats the point of speaking up with reasons supported when its not going to be accepted nor taken into consideration at the end of the day? people will say you are trying to argue, not willing to learn, attitude problem...

haha...

so moral of the story is: just do. don't argue. period.
