01/01:
1st day of the new year, waking up on a sunny morning, i continue my adventure in taipei..


CKS metro station



the very first stop is the CKS memorial hall. a very grand building with beautiful surroundings. the national opera and dunno what performing arts theatres are just metres away from each other. similarly to the SYS memorial hall, the figure sitting in the hall is mr CKS..



after that is a visit to the presidential office. i was hopping to catch some demostration or riot there but sadly there isn't any. also president chien is not in office today as today is a public holiday.. haiz... can only see the sad looking guards.. =(


no riot!! no demostration! so boring! =P

next destination??

of coz.. the ever famous 西门町! aweeeeeeeeee~~~

as its way pass my lunch time, the first thing i did is to search for the 阿宗面线. everyone is eating around the shop with a bowl in their hands. also its a looooong queue. but as a typical singaporean who believes that anywhere that queues must be good, i join in the fun with much anticipation =)


its good! but not for those who don't like pig intestines and there are no oysters inside..

walk and walk and walk around 西门町.. its more for gals as there isn't many shops selling guys stuffs. to make things worst, the stores are selling winter clothings so basically there is nothing much i can buy.. except for a adidas tee that is selling at 40% off retail price =( hence the only entertainment i have for myself is to eat and eat, drink and drink..

after a whole afternoon in 西门町, its time to pay a visit to 龙山寺 and the nearby 华西夜市.



its a nice place to eat seafood as its almost everywhere. also, there are snake meat, snake soup, etc for those who are more adventurous~ as for shopping, its almost the same as per other night markets. again.. nothing much interest me except the food as i have fish soup, smelly tofu, tako, strawberry milk, ... *yummy*

its time to turn in early for more actions tomorrow!
