for the past 3 weeks or even earlier, i've been studying regularly at the bk at peninsular plaza every saturday. every week i'll see almost the same group of people probably in their 30s to 50s, "talking" to each other not thru their mouths, but their hands. yup.. they cannot hear like most of us can, so "talking" with their hands is the only way to communicate.

for those who have been following my blog since i started blogging will probably rememeber that i did went for a short course on sign language at the association for the deaf at moutbatten road, just opposite the singapore tennis centre. its thru that course i realise that to be able to hear is such a gift. why? coz without the ability to hear, those deafs almost lose their ability to speak as well although they can still give out sound from their mouth. this is because they are unable to hear for themselves what they are saying and thus they are unable to correct their vocal pitch, tone, pronounciation, etc. just because they lose one ability causes them to lose the other naturally...

so sad that i've no determination to carry on with the course proper...

so probably if you happen to passby peninsular on saturdays, why not drop by and wave 'hi' to them?
