went to watch the 2nd round of the singapore fireworks festival at esplanade just now. i and kiat and nair were late and before we could get any closer to the river, the show already started. if you did not go yesterday, i can tell you the place is in a chaotic condition! i think half the population of singapore were there and i was jammed at the entrance of the esplanade! the bridge linking esplanade and one fullerton was packed till i think even ants have problems trying to cross over. to verify my statement, i'll include this picture below as proof:

although its overexposed, but i believe you can imagine how bad the situation was...

after the show the condition was equally bad. every father mother son and daughter rush to the MRT station and caused a very bad jam at the citylink mall. the aircon was not effective in coping with such a large crowd and i think everyone was suffocating. movement was as slow as snails... arrghhH!!! seriously i won't want to be in that situation if not for the need to meet friends at the MRT station. well... the walkway above ground was having the same scenario too..

i'm wondering: now its ONLY national day and there is such a crowd... i wonder what will it be during x'mas and new year countdown, especially if there are celebrations organised..
