remember that time i went for a computer test as an ATC?
well today i went for the 1st round of interview. really surprised that there are so many candidates. i think that what the board of interviewers want is to grant as many for 1st round of interview and from there choose those that are suitable.
while waiting i noticed some of the candidates were realli jokers. one guy, his dressing was like he juz went to chiong last night. his shirt was not those business shirt but more of those "chiong" shirt. still wear a silver chain somemore. my personal viewpoint is that interview is a serious thing so jewellery should be avoided as much as possible. there was a HR lady there to greet us and prepare the documentations. when she asked that guy if he knew anything about the what the job is about, the guy simply shakes his head! OMG!! how could u know nothing about the job you are applying for and come for an interview? at one point in time he asked the HR how does the NS certificate looks like. when the HR showed him a copy he exclaimed "ohhhh!! this one har! i remember i got this... but.... i dunno where i throw is already.." almost all the other guys laugh! haha! joker leh... how could you lose such an important document! worst thing is he thought that its not important and did not even know how to get a replacement copy.. i think he was juz coming for the fun of it as he did mention that he is now working...
another gal wear too...eh... casual. she came with a long sleeve tee + office skirt + ship on heels w/o covers at the front and heel strap. when she went in for the interview the HR commented that she will most probably not make it as she was trying to tell the interviewers that she was not interested. guess its true that 1st impression counts.
another 2-3 guys looked troubled. i guess they were very much affected by the words of the HR as she commented that its not easy to pass the course and the tests. these guys keep on asking what will happen if this and that occur and will they be axed.. i dunno lah.. but i'll feel that they are not confident of themselves, which is something that the job requires... also the HR may look friendly.. but you will never know if she gives her "friendly" comments and suggestions to the board of interviewers at the end of the day?
ok.. back to the limelight.. which is ME! haha! i took abt 10mins while i timed the others who went in before me and they took about 12-15mins avg. the questions they ask are pretty standard questions. i shall not reveal them here but are the common questions you can expect in an interview. i'm glad that i did not get rebutted by the interviewers for my answers as a few candidates did comment that they kena shoot by the answers they give. well... that maybe either they not interested in me so they dun bother to shoot me back.. anyway... its an eye-opener (not literally as in the movie by tom cruise.. forget the title liao..) as its the first time i m facing a panel of four. (last time i go MOE interview only got three) i guess its true that the more interviews u attend the more confident you will become...
today marks the end of the 4th interview i attended..
*preview*
i got another interview on thursday... will tell you all again! wish me luck! =)
